Most vehicles have voided rubber motor mounts installed to cut down on how much vibration from the engine reaches the driver. This works well but also allows the engine to move because of the soft, deflecting nature of rubber which only gets worse with time and wear. This can lead to a slower response from the accelerator or wheel hop when you hit the gas hard. Race cars, which rely on instant acceleration, mount the engine to the frame with metal but this would make a normal commute in a daily driver a teeth-rattling trip. Energy Suspension provides a fairly simple solution with their polyurethane engine mount inserts.

Poly is a much more dense material than rubber and keeps it's shape longer so the torque your engine produces won't send it banging around under the hood.
